Nantucket Regatta

Race Center

Registration, official documents, notice board, and results are managed on YachtScoring.

The Nantucket Regatta is a two-day keelboat event held during Nantucket Race Week featuring around-the-buoy racing on the picturesque Nantucket Sound.  Racing involves a wonderful combination of classic woodies, spirit-of-tradition boats and modern racer/cruisers. The grand schooners-of-yore add to the spectacle, as they are sent on their own course across the Sound.

One-design classes such as J/70s, Wianno Seniors, 12-Metres and even TP52s have a chance to test their skills against each other. Two or three races around triangle and windward/leeward courses are planned for each day.

Eligible boats can add a third day of racing in Nantucket Race Week’s marquee event:  Sunday’s Opera House Cup.

For the shore parties, activities abound around Nantucket. Saturday’s racing is followed by the Classic Yacht Exhibition on North Wharf and Brewery Night at Nantucket Yacht Club.

About the Nantucket Regatta

The Nantucket Regatta is open to boats with a minimum LOA of 22’ that hold a current and valid 2026 CRF or PHRF-NE rating certificate.

Boats in any Division may be divided into Spinnaker and Non-Spinnaker Sub-Divisions.  Additionally, One Design starts may be created at the discretion of the Organizing Authority if four or more competitors enter any One Design. A Schooner CRF Class is also planned, which would sail a ‘geographic’ course.

Divisions or Sub-Divisions with fewer than five entries may be combined with other Divisions or Sub-Divisions, and will be assigned to the same Starting Class as other Divisions or Sub-Divisions.
