Why Get Involved
Nantucket Race Week relies on approximately 250 volunteers each year to help everything run smoothly. From on-the-water race support to social events, merchandise sales, and hosting visiting sailors, there are many ways to get involved.
The Race Week Committee welcomes volunteers both before and during Race Week. If you or someone you know would like to participate, explore the opportunities below.
Ways to Help
Prior to Race Week
Planning for Race Week begins months in advance and relies on volunteer coordination and support.

Specialized Opportunities
Housing for Raceweek Participants
Each year, Celebrity Tacticians, Judges, PROs, and other participants generously donate their time during Nantucket Race Week. Through the support of Nantucket residents, housing opportunities help ensure their continued participation.
If you are interested in hosting and donating the use of a room during Race Week, please complete the form below. A Race Week representative will contact you after review.
Provide On-the-Water Support
Race Week relies on volunteer boat owners to support safe and successful regattas. We are always in search of:
- Mark boats
- Support boats
- Race Committee boats
- Spectator & Press boats
We recognize this represents a significant commitment and expense. Upon completion of a short post-event form, Nantucket Community Sailing will provide documentation reflecting your tax-deductible contribution.
